| 背景信息 | Heparin binding growth factor (HDGF) is a 240-residue protein that functions as both a transcriptional repressor and a mitogen for various cell types, including fibroblasts and endothelial cells. It possesses DNA-binding capability and promotes cellular proliferation and differentiation by activating anti-apoptotic pathways through AKT and NF-kB signaling. HDGF is frequently overexpressed in several malignancies, including hepatocellular carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and prostate cancer, where it enhances tumor growth, migration, and invasion. The protein exists in multiple isoforms, with isoforms 1 and 3 retaining significant mitogenic and heparin-binding activities. Due to its role in promoting cell viability and cancer progression, HDGF is considered a potential therapeutic target, with research indicating that its inhibition can reduce tumor cell proliferation. |
