| 背景信息 | Allograft inflammatory factor 1 (IBA1) is a 17-kDa calcium-binding protein specifically expressed in macrophages and microglia. It functions as an actin-binding protein that cross-links filamentous actin, enhances membrane ruffling, and promotes RAC activation to facilitate cellular motility and phagocytosis. IBA1 is significantly upregulated during macrophage and microglial activation following central nervous system ischemia, nerve injury, and various inflammatory brain diseases. Beyond its role in the nervous system, the protein promotes vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and arterial thickening in allografts, and it supports endothelial cell migration in atherosclerosis and angiogenesis. IBA1 expression is also associated with pathological conditions such as diabetic nephropathy and the progression of breast cancer through the activation of NF-κB signaling pathways and cyclin D1 expression. |
