| 背景信息 | G protein subunit gamma 11 (GNG11) encodes a lipid-anchored component of heterotrimeric G protein complexes. Localizing to the plasma membrane, it forms functional dimers with beta subunits to facilitate GTPase activity and signal transduction for pathways such as thromboxane signaling. GNG11 is essential for proper G-protein coupling and downstream effector activation. Clinically, reduced GNG11 expression is associated with splenic marginal zone lymphoma, suggesting a tumor-suppressive function. The gene is also linked to cone-rod dystrophy 10, a retinal degenerative disorder, implicating it in the maintenance of photoreceptor physiology. |
