| 背景信息 | CCL8, also known as monocyte chemoattractant protein-2 (MCP-2), is a chemokine that plays a crucial role in immune responses and is involved in various diseases, particularly cancer. It functions primarily by attracting immune cells, such as monocytes and macrophages, to sites of inflammation or tumor growth. Elevated levels of CCL8 have been associated with tumor progression and metastasis, particularly in cancers like glioblastoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). In glioblastoma, CCL8 secreted by tumor-associated macrophages enhances tumor invasion and stemness through ERK1/2 signaling pathways. In DLBCL, higher CCL8 expression correlates with poor prognosis and is linked to M2 macrophage recruitment, which promotes a tumor-supportive microenvironment. Thus, CCL8 serves as both a biomarker for disease progression and a potential therapeutic target in cancer treatment. |
