| 背景信息 | C-X-C motif chemokine 6 (CXCL6) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family, primarily involved in the immune response. It functions as a potent chemoattractant for neutrophils, facilitating their migration to sites of infection or inflammation by interacting with the receptors CXCR1 and CXCR2. In addition to its chemotactic properties, CXCL6 exhibits significant antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, enhancing its role in innate immunity. Dysregulation of CXCL6 has been implicated in various diseases, including inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), where it contributes to sustained inflammation and tissue damage. Furthermore, CXCL6 is associated with cancer progression, as it can promote tumor growth and metastasis by enhancing angiogenesis and facilitating the recruitment of immune cells that may support tumor environments. |
