| 背景信息 | Paired box 2 (PAX2) is a nuclear transcription factor that plays a fundamental role in the embryonic development of the central nervous system and the urogenital tract. It contains a conserved paired DNA-binding domain and a transactivation domain, allowing it to function as both an activator and a repressor of genes such as GDNF, WNT4, and cyclin D1. PAX2 is essential for the formation of the midbrain-hindbrain boundary and the differentiation of GABAergic neurons. In the developing kidney, it regulates the expression of Gata3 and is critical for proper renal morphogenesis and the formation of the urogenital system. Through its involvement in multiple signaling pathways, including Wnt and Fgf, PAX2 coordinates the complex cellular processes required for organogenesis and tissue patterning during early development. |
