| 背景信息 | Protein kinase C zeta (PRKCZ) is an atypical member of the protein kinase C family that operates independently of calcium and diacylglycerol. It plays a pivotal role in regulating cell polarity, proliferation, and survival by acting as a downstream effector of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) pathway. PRKCZ coordinates the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades and the NF-kappa-B signaling pathway, thereby influencing inflammatory responses and immune cell function. It is also a key regulator of insulin-stimulated glucose transport, facilitating the translocation of GLUT4 to the plasma membrane in adipocytes. Furthermore, it interacts with polarity complexes to maintain epithelial cell architecture. Clinically, PRKCZ is associated with the progression of glioblastoma and is involved in the complex regulation of apoptosis and cell adhesion. |
