| 背景信息 | Peptidylprolyl isomerase D (Cyclophilin-40) is a cytosolic immunophilin and a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase family. It functions as a foldase chaperone by catalyzing the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds, thereby facilitating proper protein folding and conformational repair. The protein features a canonical cyclophilin β-barrel domain for its isomerase activity and a C-terminal tetratricopeptide repeat domain that mediates essential interactions with Hsp90 and other client complexes. By integrating into multi-protein chaperone assemblies and binding cyclosporin A, Peptidylprolyl isomerase D plays a central role in modulating protein homeostasis and immunosuppressive signaling pathways within the cell. |
