| 背景信息 | Nexilin F-actin binding protein (NEXN) is a specialized filamentous actin-binding protein that serves as a vital structural component of muscle tissue. It is characterized by F-actin binding domains and coiled-coil structures that facilitate its interaction with the cytoskeleton, where it plays an essential role in maintaining the integrity of the Z line and sarcomere. Beyond its structural function, NEXN regulates cell migration and participates in the VEGFA-VEGFR2 signaling pathway, suggesting a role in cellular regulation and calcium/calmodulin-dependent signaling. Clinical relevance is well-established in cardiac health, as mutations in the NEXN gene are directly linked to dilated cardiomyopathy (CMD1CC) and familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM20). These mutations disrupt the stability of the sarcomere, leading to progressive cardiac dysfunction and heart failure. |
