| 背景信息 | Secernin 1 (SCRN1) is a cytosolic protein that primarily functions in the regulation of exocytosis, particularly within mast cells, where it enhances the extent of secretion and increases sensitivity to calcium stimulation. In recent years, SCRN1 has gained prominence as a specific biomarker for neurodegenerative conditions. It accumulates significantly within neurofibrillary tangles and plaque-associated dystrophic neurites during the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. SCRN1 interacts directly with phosphorylated tau in human brain tissue and is uniquely associated with tau pathology in Alzheimer’s disease, Down syndrome, and primary age-related tauopathy. Notably, it does not co-localize with tau inclusions in other tauopathies like Pick’s disease or progressive supranuclear palsy, making it a valuable tool for distinguishing Alzheimer’s-related pathology from other neurodegenerative disorders. |
