| 背景信息 | Trophinin (TRO) is a membrane protein encoded by the TRO gene in humans, primarily recognized for its role in mediating apical cell adhesion between trophoblastic cells and the luminal epithelial cells of the endometrium, which is crucial for the initial attachment during embryo implantation. Structurally, trophinin forms a complex with other proteins such as tastin and bystin, facilitating cell-cell interactions at the maternal-fetal interface and enabling the blastocyst to adhere to uterine epithelial cells, a key step in successful implantation. This protein is localized on the cell surface and is essential for the establishment of pregnancy, as it supports the communication and adhesion required for embryonic development. Clinically, altered expression or dysfunction of trophinin has been implicated in implantation failure and may contribute to certain infertility disorders, highlighting its significance in reproductive health. |
