| 背景信息 | Protein Tyrosine Kinase 7 (PTK7) is a pseudokinase and a member of the receptor protein tyrosine kinase family, primarily involved in modulating Wnt signaling pathways crucial for embryonic development and tissue homeostasis. Although PTK7 lacks conventional catalytic activity, it plays a significant role in cell polarity, migration, and adhesion through its interactions with various receptors, including Frizzled and LRP5/6, facilitating both canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling. Dysregulation of PTK7 expression is implicated in several cancers, such as colon carcinoma, neuroblastoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma, often correlating with poor prognosis and metastasis.
