| 背景信息 | Golgin A4 (GOLGA4) is a member of the golgin family of proteins localized to the Golgi apparatus, where it plays a central role in the secretory pathway. It functions primarily in vesicular trafficking, facilitating the transport and glycosylation of proteins and lipids. GOLGA4 is involved in Rab6-regulated membrane-tethering events and interacts with MACF1 to mediate the delivery of transport vesicles containing GPI-linked proteins from the trans-Golgi network to the plasma membrane. Additionally, it participates in endosome-to-Golgi trafficking and the positive regulation of axon extension. The protein possesses GTPase and nucleotide-binding activities essential for its role in maintaining Golgi structure and function. Clinically, GOLGA4 has been associated with squamous papillomatosis and chronic neutrophilic leukemia, highlighting its importance in both normal cellular homeostasis and the pathogenesis of specific proliferative disorders. |
