| 背景信息 | KRR1 small subunit processome component (KRR1) is a conserved nucleolar RNA-binding protein essential for the biogenesis of the 40S ribosomal subunit. Containing tandem K-homology (KH) domains, it functions as a core component of the small subunit processome, facilitating the processing, folding, and assembly of 18S rRNA. KRR1 cooperates with other assembly factors to drive the maturation of pre-40S particles within the nucleolus. While widely expressed and fundamental for cell viability and protein synthesis capacity, KRR1 is not currently defined as a specific driver of monogenic Mendelian diseases in humans. |
