| 背景信息 | Septin-2 (SEPT2) is a filament-forming cytoskeletal GTPase that plays a fundamental role in cellular architecture and division. It assembles into hetero-oligomeric complexes to scaffold actin and microtubule networks, essential for cytokinesis, ciliogenesis, and the maintenance of epithelial polarization. SEPT2 localizes to the mitotic spindle to ensure proper chromosome segregation and functions at the base of primary cilia as a diffusion barrier. Dysregulation of SEPT2 is implicated in tumorigenesis, where its overexpression correlates with increased proliferation and invasion in various cancers. Additionally, SEPT2 is critical for endothelial barrier integrity, with altered localization contributing to vascular permeability and inflammatory responses. |
