| 背景信息 | Zinc finger protein 174 (ZNF174) is a transcriptional repressor characterized by the presence of three C-terminal Cys2-His2-type zinc finger domains and an N-terminal SCAN box. The zinc finger domains are responsible for sequence-specific DNA binding and interaction with transcriptional cis-regulatory regions, while the SCAN box mediates homodimerization. ZNF174 localizes to the nucleus, where it regulates the expression of target genes involved in cellular development and homeostasis. It is expressed most prominently in adult reproductive tissues, including the testis and ovaries, as well as in the gastrointestinal tract and lymphoid organs. As a member of the zinc finger family, it functions as a stable structural scaffold for coordinating transcriptional control across various physiological contexts. |
