| 背景信息 | Laminin subunit alpha-4 (LAMA4) is a critical component of the laminin family of extracellular matrix proteins, which are essential for maintaining the structural integrity of basement membranes. LAMA4 plays significant roles in cell adhesion, migration, differentiation, and signaling, contributing to various biological processes such as tissue development and repair. LAMA4 contains a C-terminal G domain that distinguishes it from the beta and gamma laminin chains. Dysregulation of LAMA4 has been implicated in several diseases, particularly in cardiovascular disorders, where mutations in the LAMA4 gene can lead to dilated cardiomyopathy. The high levels of LAMA4 are often found in aggressive tumors, facilitating tumor cell invasion and metastasis. Furthermore, LAMA4 has been linked to congenital muscular dystrophies, emphasizing its importance in muscle integrity and function. |
