| 背景信息 | Interleukin-17A (IL-17A) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a significant role in the immune response and is implicated in various inflammatory diseases. It is particularly known for its involvement in autoimmune conditions such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, where it induces inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, leading to disease progression. IL-17A contributes to inflammation by recruiting neutrophils and inducing the production of antimicrobial proteins, thus playing a crucial role in host defense against bacterial and fungal infections. However, its dysregulation can lead to excessive inflammation and autoimmunity. Therapeutically, antibodies targeting IL-17A and its receptor, IL-17RA, have been effective in treating these inflammatory diseases, highlighting its pathogenic role. Additionally, IL-17A is involved in the pathogenesis of other conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and multiple sclerosis, further underscoring its importance in inflammatory processes and its potential as a therapeutic target. |
