| 背景信息 | Lymphocyte antigen 6 family member K (LY6K) is a 165-amino acid transmembrane protein located on chromosome 8q24.3. It contains a conserved LU domain with 10 cysteine residues and a GPI-anchoring site. LY6K is primarily expressed in testis and is crucial for sperm migration and fertility by regulating sperm binding to the zona pellucida. It is a member of the Ly6/uPAR protein superfamily, involved in cell proliferation, migration, and immune regulation. LY6K is overexpressed in various cancers, including lung, breast, colorectal, and esophageal carcinomas, where it promotes tumor cell proliferation and metastasis. High LY6K expression is associated with poor prognosis in several cancer types. It regulates tumor development through interactions with Caveolin-1, ERK signaling, and AP-1 transcription factors. LY6K also plays a role in tumor immune escape by suppressing T cell development and modulating NK cell activity. |
