| 背景信息 | Autophagy related 2A (ATG2A) is a conserved lipid transfer protein that plays a dual role in autophagosome biogenesis and cellular lipid homeostasis. During autophagy, ATG2A facilitates the expansion of the phagophore membrane by extracting lipids from the endoplasmic reticulum and transferring them to the developing autophagosome. Additionally, it promotes lipid droplet growth by transferring diacylglycerol to recruit DGAT2. In neural cells, ATG2A acts as a tethering factor that enables autophagosome-lysosome fusion through interactions with SNARE proteins such as STX17, SNAP29, and VAMP8. Deficiency in ATG2A leads to the impairment of autophagic flux and the accumulation of p62 and LC3-II, underscoring its essential function in maintaining cellular degradative pathways. |
