| 背景信息 | AT-rich interaction domain 4B (ARID4B) is a multifunctional chromatin regulator and a core subunit of the histone deacetylase-dependent SIN3A transcriptional corepressor complex. It contains an interdigitated double Tudor domain that facilitates DNA binding and epigenetic regulation. ARID4B plays diverse roles in cellular proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. In normal physiology, it acts as a transcriptional coactivator for the androgen receptor during spermatogenesis and regulates myeloid homeostasis through the modulation of histone methylation. Pathologically, ARID4B is significantly associated with the progression of breast cancer and retinoblastoma. Increased expression of ARID4B is known to enhance tumor growth, migration, and metastasis, particularly in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer patients, making it a recognized molecular marker for various human malignancies. |
