| 背景信息 | G kinase anchoring protein 1 (GKAP1) is a scaffolding protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of intracellular signal transduction, particularly within the insulin receptor signaling pathway. It functions by modulating the availability of insulin receptor substrate 1 (IRS1) to the insulin receptor tyrosine kinase. By facilitating this interaction, GKAP1 controls the insulin-dependent tyrosine phosphorylation of IRS1, which is a critical step in metabolic signaling within adipocytes and other insulin-sensitive tissues. The protein is predicted to exhibit identical protein-binding activity and is involved in the spatial organization of kinase-mediated signaling complexes. While GKAP1 is essential for proper metabolic regulation and insulin sensitivity, its direct association with specific human diseases is not yet well-established in clinical literature. |
