| 背景信息 | CDC42 binding protein kinase alpha (CDC42BPA) is a DMPK-related serine/threonine kinase that serves as a downstream effector of the Rho GTPase CDC42. It regulates actomyosin contractility, lamellipodial F-actin dynamics, and cell migration by phosphorylating key targets such as MYL9, LIMK1/2, and CFL1. The protein contains a CRIB domain for CDC42 binding and a kinase domain that mediates Rho GTPase signaling. Beyond cytoskeletal reorganization, CDC42BPA participates in TFRC-mediated iron uptake and the extrusion of apoptotic cells from epithelia. Clinically, CDC42BPA is linked to myotonic dystrophy due to its functional homology with DMPK. Additionally, altered CDC42BPA activity is implicated in the invasive and metastatic potential of various cancers, where it drives the cellular motility required for tumor progression. |
