| 背景信息 | Cytokine induced apoptosis inhibitor 1 (CIAPIN1) is a growth factor-dependent inhibitor of apoptosis that operates independently of the BCL2 and caspase families. It serves as a critical component of the cytosolic iron-sulfur (Fe-S) protein assembly machinery, facilitating electron transfer processes essential for enzymes involved in metabolism, DNA maintenance, and iron homeostasis. CIAPIN1 localizes to the cytoplasm, nucleus, and nucleolus, participating in diverse regulatory pathways. Clinically, CIAPIN1 is associated with Wolfram Syndrome 2 and gastric cancer, where it contributes to multidrug resistance by upregulating resistance genes and modulating cell proliferation via cyclin D1. In other cancer models, such as breast and lung cancer, it may inhibit migration and invasion by modulating ERK1/2 signaling and epithelial-mesenchymal transition. |
