| 背景信息 | Coiled-coil domain containing 62 (CCDC62) is a nuclear receptor coactivator protein that enhances the transactivation of estrogen receptors ESR1 and ESR2, and also modulates progesterone receptor activity, indicating a role in hormone signaling pathways. Structurally, CCDC62 contains a coiled-coil domain, which is typically involved in protein-protein interactions, and is primarily localized in the nucleus, consistent with its function as a coactivator. Expression data show that CCDC62 is present in various tissues, with particularly high levels in the testis, where it is found in the cytoplasm and developing acrosome of spermatids, and specifically at the acrosome in mature sperm. Functionally, CCDC62 is involved in the cellular response to estradiol stimulus and nuclear estrogen receptor binding activity. Disease association studies in mice have shown that a nonsense mutation in the Ccdc62 gene leads to spermiogenesis defects and male infertility. |
