| 背景信息 | Suprabasin (SBSN) is a secreted protein originally identified for its role in epidermal differentiation and keratinocyte maturation. Beyond its physiological expression in the skin, thymus, and esophagus, SBSN has emerged as a significant oncogenic regulator in various malignancies, including oral squamous cell carcinoma and thyroid cancer. In the tumor microenvironment, SBSN promotes cell proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis, particularly under hypoxic conditions. It also contributes to immunosuppression by influencing immune cell infiltration, specifically promoting the accumulation of M2 macrophages and regulatory T cells. Clinically, elevated SBSN expression correlates with tumor dedifferentiation and genotoxic stress responses, making it a potential therapeutic target and biomarker for cancer progression. |
