| 背景信息 | Leucine rich repeat neuronal 1 (LRRN1) is a protein encoded by the LRRN1 gene in humans. It is a single-pass, transmembrane protein characterized by leucine-rich repeats, which are known to be involved in various cellular processes including cell-cell interactions and signaling pathways. LRRN1 has been implicated in several biological processes, including the regulation of boundary formation and cellular patterning during development, particularly in the organ of Corti in the mammalian cochlea. It interacts with the Notch signaling pathway to enhance Notch activity, which is crucial for the proper formation of sensory and nonsensory regions in the cochlea. Additionally, LRRN1 has been associated with the suppression of apoptosis in gastric cancer cells through the regulation of Fas/FasL. Its role in neuroblastoma and neuronal development as an extracellular negative regulator of ALK signaling has also been noted. |
