| 背景信息 | Leucine rich repeats and immunoglobulin like domains 3 (LRIG3) is a single-pass transmembrane protein that belongs to the LRIG family. It contains a putative signal peptide, leucine-rich repeat domains, immunoglobulin-like domains, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail. LRIG3 is primarily localized in the cell membrane and Golgi apparatus, with some punctate distribution in the cytosol. It is expressed in various tissues, including the brain, inner ear, and craniofacial regions during embryonic development. LRIG3 plays a role in modulating FGF and Wnt signaling pathways, and it can interact with and regulate FGFR1 levels. In terms of disease associations, LRIG3 has been implicated in cancer progression, particularly in gliomas. It may function as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting cell proliferation, survival, and invasion through negative regulation of the EGFR signaling pathway. |
