| 背景信息 | Capping protein inhibiting regulator of actin dynamics (CRACD) is a cytosolic protein enriched in epithelial tissues that maintains cytoskeletal organization and cell integrity. It functions by inhibiting barbed-end actin-capping proteins, thereby promoting actin polymerization and regulating cell-cell adhesion. CRACD is expressed across various organs, including the gastrointestinal tract and brain, where it supports structural stability. Clinically, CRACD is recognized as a putative tumor suppressor. Alterations in the CRACD gene have been linked to testicular sex cord-stromal neoplasms, such as Leydig cell tumors. Disruption of its function is proposed to impair epithelial barrier integrity and contribute to oncogenic transformation and tumor progression, highlighting its role as a regulator of actin dynamics in both physiological and pathological contexts. |
