| 背景信息 | (hRIPbeta) is a zinc-binding protein that facilitates the nuclear import of the replication protein A (RPA) heterotrimer, a complex vital for DNA replication, recombination, and repair. It localizes to various subnuclear compartments, including PML bodies and fibrillar centers, where it modulates RPA dynamics during genotoxic stress. The protein undergoes SUMOylation, which directs RPA into PML nuclear bodies to support UV-induced DNA repair and broader damage responses. By interacting with importin beta, hRIPbeta enables efficient nucleocytoplasmic shuttling and likely stabilizes conformational changes in the RPA complex during critical DNA transactions. |
