| 背景信息 | Tripartite motif containing 73 (TRIM73) is a member of the TRIM family characterized by an N-terminal RING finger domain, B-box zinc-binding domains, and a coiled-coil region. These domains enable TRIM73 to function as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and a molecular scaffold, facilitating the ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of target substrates. It is primarily involved in innate immune signaling and pathogen recognition, often contributing to antiviral restriction through interferon induction. Clinically, TRIM73 is associated with Bardet-Biedl syndrome 11, a ciliopathy characterized by obesity and retinitis pigmentosa, as well as Williams-Beuren syndrome, a developmental disorder involving cardiovascular defects and intellectual disability. |
