| 背景信息 | CD163 molecule (CD163) is a scavenger receptor cysteine-rich protein expressed predominantly on monocytes and M2-polarized macrophages. It serves as a high-affinity receptor for hemoglobin-haptoglobin complexes, protecting tissues from oxidative damage by clearing free hemoglobin and inducing anti-inflammatory pathways, such as interleukin-10 release. Additionally, CD163 acts as an innate immune sensor for various bacteria. A soluble form, sCD163, is generated via ADAM17-mediated shedding and serves as a clinical biomarker for macrophage activation. Elevated sCD163 levels are well-established indicators of inflammatory and neoplastic conditions, including sepsis, liver cirrhosis, HIV infection, and rheumatoid arthritis, while urinary sCD163 correlates with active glomerulonephritis in systemic lupus erythematosus. |
