| 背景信息 | HEAT repeat containing 4 (HEATR4) is a high-molecular-weight protein characterized by multiple tandem alpha-helical HEAT repeats. These motifs form flexible solenoid structures that serve as scaffolds for protein-protein interactions, facilitating the assembly of multi-subunit complexes involved in chromosome dynamics and intracellular transport. HEATR4 is predicted to possess oxidoreductase activity, suggesting a role in metabolic electron transfer pathways. It interacts with partners such as HEATR6 and INTS4 within complex cellular networks. Clinically, HEATR4 is linked to rare soft tissue malignancies, including bone leiomyosarcoma, and has been associated with neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis type 7 (CLN7), a lysosomal storage disorder characterized by progressive neurodegeneration. |
