| 背景信息 | MCF.2 cell line derived transforming sequence-like 2 (MCF2L2) is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) specifically active toward Rho GTPases. It is characterized by several functional domains, including Dbl homology (DH), pleckstrin homology (PH), and SH3 domains, which enable its guanyl-nucleotide exchange activity and cytoplasmic localization. By activating Rho GTPases, MCF2L2 modulates cytoskeletal dynamics and intracellular signaling pathways. Clinically, MCF2L2 is associated with Microphthalmia, Syndromic 3, a condition characterized by abnormally small eyes and various systemic anomalies, as well as Ring Dermoid of the Cornea. These associations underscore its importance in developmental processes and the maintenance of ocular structural integrity. |
