| 背景信息 | Interferon lambda 3 (IFNL3) is a type III interferon that serves as a critical component of the innate antiviral defense, particularly at epithelial surfaces. It signals through a unique heterodimeric receptor complex composed of IFNLR1 and IL10R2, which activates the JAK-STAT pathway to induce an antiviral state. While structurally similar to the interleukin-10 family, IFNL3 exhibits potent antiviral, antitumor, and immunomodulatory properties. Clinically, genetic variants in the IFNL3 gene, such as the rs4803217 polymorphism, are well-established predictors of spontaneous and treatment-induced clearance of the hepatitis C virus (HCV). These variants modulate the stability and expression of IFNL3 mRNA, thereby influencing the host's ability to control viral infection. Its specialized role in epithelial immunity makes IFNL3 essential for protecting mucosal barriers against a wide range of viral pathogens. |
