| 背景信息 | MICAL like 1 (MICALL1) is a cytoplasmic, membrane-associated protein that localizes to tubular recycling endosomes, where it serves as a critical scaffold in endocytic recycling pathways. It functions as a downstream effector for Rab GTPases, including Rab8, Rab10, and Rab13, to recruit cytosolic factors necessary for endosomal membrane tubulation and the recycling of cargo to the plasma membrane. MICALL1 contains modular domains, such as coiled-coil regions, that facilitate interactions with phosphatidic acid and various small GTPases. Broadly expressed in epithelial and neuronal tissues, the protein is essential for maintaining polarized trafficking and efficient intracellular transport mechanisms. |
