| 背景信息 | Parkin coregulated like (PACRGL) is an evolutionarily conserved axonemal protein essential for the structural organization of cilia and flagella. It functions in outer-doublet microtubule morphogenesis by binding at the inner junction between doublet microtubules within the axoneme. PACRGL shares significant homology with PACRG and is known to associate with large molecular complexes involving heat shock proteins and chaperonin components. These interactions are critical for maintaining the structural integrity and motility of ciliary apparatuses. Due to its fundamental role in ciliary maintenance, PACRGL is vital for cellular sensory functions and motility. Mutations or dysregulation of this protein are associated with Retinitis Pigmentosa 1, a genetic disorder that leads to progressive retinal degeneration. |
