| 背景信息 | AT-hook containing transcription factor 1 (AHCTF1), also known as ELYS, is a large nuclear protein essential for the assembly of the nuclear pore complex (NPC) during the exit from mitosis. It functions by binding to chromatin via its AT-hook motifs and recruiting the Nup107–160 subcomplex, thereby initiating NPC formation on decondensing chromosomes. AHCTF1 is also required for the proper kinetochore localization of the Nup107–160 subcomplex during mitosis and is critical for the successful completion of cytokinesis. By linking nuclear envelope reformation with chromosome segregation, it ensures genomic stability during cell division. Clinically, dysregulation of AHCTF1 is associated with autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome, suggesting that this nuclear assembly factor plays a vital role in maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing aberrant lymphocyte proliferation. |
