| 背景信息 | V-set and immunoglobulin domain containing 2 (VSIG2) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily characterized by extracellular IgV and IgC2 domains. It is highly expressed at epithelial barriers, particularly within the glandular cells of the gastrointestinal tract, where it maintains epithelial integrity and regulates cell-cell adhesion. VSIG2 also functions as an immune-regulatory molecule, acting as a ligand that modulates T cell function and influencing the infiltration of B cells and M1 macrophages within the tumor microenvironment. Its role in metabolic processes involves lipid and mucosal immune-related pathways. Clinically, VSIG2 dysregulation is linked to several conditions, including Fuchs’ endothelial dystrophy and inflammatory bowel diseases. In oncology, it exhibits context-dependent roles, acting as an oncogenic driver in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma or as a tumor suppressor in other malignancies. |
