| 背景信息 | Phosphatidylethanolamine binding protein 4 (PEBP4) is a secreted, glycosylated member of the evolutionarily conserved PEBP family. It localizes to lysosomes and perinuclear regions and can translocate to the plasma membrane upon stimulation by TNFα. Functionally, PEBP4 binds phosphatidylethanolamine and interacts with Raf-1 and MEK to modulate the MAPK and PI3K-AKT signaling pathways. It acts as a pro-survival factor; its overexpression enhances the phosphorylation of ERK, JNK, and AKT, thereby promoting cell survival and resistance to apoptosis. Clinically, PEBP4 is frequently overexpressed in multiple cancers and is associated with tumor progression and poor prognosis. Its role in inhibiting TNFα- and TRAIL-induced apoptosis makes it a significant oncogenic factor and a potential biomarker or therapeutic target in oncology. |
