| 背景信息 | Proteasome 20S subunit beta 7 (PSMB7) is a catalytic subunit of the 20S core proteasome, a multicatalytic protease complex essential for ATP- and ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation. As a member of the beta-type family, PSMB7 is located within the inner rings of the proteasome and provides trypsin-like threonine endopeptidase activity, specifically cleaving peptide bonds after basic residues. It is synthesized as a precursor that requires proteolytic processing for maturation. PSMB7 expression is sensitive to immune signaling and is downregulated by gamma interferon to allow for the incorporation of immunoproteasome subunits. Clinically, dysregulation of PSMB7 and the proteasome complex is associated with proteasome-associated autoinflammatory syndrome and neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, highlighting its fundamental role in maintaining cellular protein homeostasis. |
