| 背景信息 | Glycoprotein A33 (GPA33) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein characterized by two extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, a single transmembrane segment, and a cytoplasmic tail. It functions primarily in cell-cell recognition and signaling within the intestinal epithelium. GPA33 is highly distinguished by its restricted expression pattern; it is a selective cell surface antigen found in over 95% of human colorectal cancers while remaining largely absent from most other normal tissues and tumor types. This high specificity makes GPA33 a prominent target for antibody-based diagnostic imaging and therapeutic interventions in oncology. Although its precise functional links to other diseases remain under investigation, its established role as a colorectal cancer-associated antigen is central to its clinical and research relevance. |
