| 背景信息 | Thioredoxin domain containing 17 (TXNDC17) is a small, ubiquitously expressed cytosolic oxidoreductase that functions as a disulfide reductase within the thioredoxin system. It possesses peroxidase and protein-disulfide reductase activities, utilizing a conserved thioredoxin-like active-site motif to undergo reversible dithiol–disulfide exchange. This mechanism allows TXNDC17 to modulate various redox-sensitive targets and signaling pathways, most notably the TNF-α–NF-κB signaling cascade. Additionally, it participates in the redox control of protein-tyrosine phosphatases and the regulation of persulfidated or nitrosylated cysteines. Rather than providing bulk antioxidant defense, TXNDC17 acts as a specific regulator of cellular redox signaling, influencing downstream cellular responses to oxidative stress and inflammatory stimuli. |
