| 背景信息 | NudE neurodevelopment protein 1 like 1 (NUDEL), also known as NDEL1, is a highly conserved protein essential for brain development and microtubule organization. It functions as a critical regulator of the cytoplasmic dynein motor complex and its cofactor Lis1, facilitating centrosome anchoring, intracellular transport, and neuronal migration. NUDEL also possesses thiol-activated oligopeptidase activity and is phosphorylated during mitosis to regulate spindle assembly and cell division. It interacts with a network of key neurodevelopmental proteins, including DISC1, PAFAH1B1, and CDK5. Clinically, dysfunction of NUDEL is well-linked to severe neurodevelopmental disorders such as lissencephaly and psychiatric conditions including schizophrenia. These associations stem from impaired neurogenesis and defective nuclear migration during cortical development, highlighting NUDEL's fundamental role in establishing functional neural architecture. |
