| 背景信息 | Rac GTPase activating protein 1 (RACGAP1) is a cytoplasmic regulatory protein and a core component of the centralspindlin complex. In partnership with KIF23, it organizes the central spindle and controls cytokinesis by providing GTPase-activating protein (GAP) activity toward CDC42, RAC1, and RHOA. This activity is essential for modulating cortical dynamics and the formation of the myosin contractile ring during cell division. RACGAP1 is vital for embryogenesis and hematopoietic development, particularly erythropoiesis. Clinically, biallelic loss-of-function variants in RACGAP1 cause congenital dyserythropoietic anemia type IIIB, characterized by ineffective erythropoiesis and multinucleated erythroblasts. Additionally, RACGAP1 is frequently overexpressed in solid tumors, where it correlates with increased cellular proliferation and invasiveness. |
