| 背景信息 | Sorting nexin 25 (SNX25) is a phosphoinositide-binding protein belonging to the sorting nexin family that plays a key role in endosomal trafficking and receptor sorting. It contains a phox homology (PX) domain for binding phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate, alongside a regulator of G-protein signaling (RGS) domain and PXA/PXC regions involved in lipid transfer. SNX25 localizes to intracellular membrane-bound organelles where it promotes the lysosomal degradation of type I TGF-β receptors, thereby acting as a negative regulator of TGF-β signaling. Genetically, SNX25 is associated with neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative phenotypes, including autosomal recessive spinocerebellar ataxia 20 and autosomal dominant intellectual developmental disorder 38, suggesting that impaired endosomal trafficking contributes to these conditions. |
