| 背景信息 | Zinc finger protein 395 (ZNF395) is a transcription factor belonging to the C2H2 zinc finger protein family that plays a role in papillomavirus gene transcription and positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. It functions through metal ion binding, DNA binding, and nucleic acid binding activities, and is located in the cytosol and nuclear speck. ZNF395 is ubiquitously expressed and involved in several cellular responses, with studies indicating strong expression in adipocytes and a potential role as a modulator of adipogenesis. The protein exhibits dual roles in cancer: it demonstrates oncogenic properties in multiple cancers including glioblastoma, kidney cancer, osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, and neuroblastoma, where it is frequently overexpressed. Conversely, ZNF395 has shown tumor suppressor activities in liver cancer cells and primary breast tumors. In chondrosarcoma, ZNF395 is remarkably overexpressed, correlating with high-grade disease and poor prognosis, where it serves as an independent prognostic factor for overall survival. |
