| 背景信息 | SUMO specific peptidase 2 (SENP2) is a cysteine protease that regulates the SUMOylation status of cellular proteins. It processes SUMO precursors and deconjugates SUMO from substrates, thereby modulating protein function and localization. SENP2 localizes primarily to the nuclear envelope and nuclear pore complex, interacting with nucleoporins to control nuclear transport and pore architecture. It plays an essential role in embryonic development by maintaining gene expression programs and suppressing polycomb-mediated silencing. Loss of SENP2 function disrupts nuclear pore organization and intracellular trafficking, underscoring its importance in cellular homeostasis and development. |
