| 背景信息 | Plexin A4 (PLXNA4) is a large type I transmembrane glycoprotein receptor that functions as a coreceptor for class 3 and class 6 semaphorins, such as SEMA3A and SEMA6A. Through its cytoplasmic region, it regulates Rho-family GTPases and cytoskeletal remodeling to mediate critical processes including axon guidance, growth cone collapse, and dendritic branching. PLXNA4 is highly expressed in the central nervous system and plays a significant role in neural development and vascular remodeling. Clinically, PLXNA4 is strongly implicated in Alzheimer’s disease, where risk variants and increased expression levels correlate with enhanced tau phosphorylation and the severity of tau pathology. It is also associated with glioblastoma progression and tumor angiogenesis, reflecting its broader role in signaling and tissue architecture. |
