| 背景信息 | G protein-coupled receptor class C group 5 member C (GPRC5C) is a type 3 G protein-coupled receptor characterized by a signature seven-transmembrane domain motif. Although its precise physiological function is still being elucidated, GPRC5C is thought to mediate the effects of retinoic acid on G protein signal transduction and may function as a potential saccharide sensor. It is also involved in osteoblast differentiation, particularly in response to EZH2 inhibition. The protein is localized to the plasma membrane and is expressed across a wide range of tissues and cell types, though it exhibits low tissue specificity. Its structural features include transmembrane regions, signal peptides, and low-complexity domains typical of the GPCR family. Its primary role appears to be the integration of extracellular signals into intracellular responses during development and cellular differentiation. |
